THE WORST CHRISTMAS EVE EVER?

Geronimo Stilton, Victim of Holiday Disasters

NEW MOUSE CITYGeronimo Stilton, world-famous author and publisher of New Mouse City's favorite newspaper, The Rodent's Gazette, is also known for his fabumouse holiday parties. Every year, he invites all of his relatives, friends, neighbors, his mailmouse, and lots of other rodents to his home for Christmas Eve dinnerand this year was supposed to be no exception.

The entire house was decorated with wreaths and holly berries. A lovely fir tree was brought in and hung with plastic cheese slices. A menu of mouth-watering cheese dishes was prepared. And, of course, there were presents for everyone.

It's a New Mouse City tradition, a celebration that the guests look forward to all year long.

So, imagine everyone's shock and disappointment when it was learned today that disaster has struck Geronimonot once, but several times. First, he tripped over his tail and ended up in the hospital. Then, his mouse hole caught on fire! And these are only two of a whole series of catastrophes that have taken place.

This is the worst Christmas Eve ever! Geronimo was heard to sayor rather to sobwhen he saw the results of the fire.

And, of course, the biggest catastrophe of all is that the party will be canceled. That, in case you were wondering, is the reason for the long faces you see on rodents all over town.

So, the question of the hour is: Can New Mouse City's favorite holiday party be saved? Will Geronimo Stilton be able to smile again on Christmas Day? A hopeful city is crossing its toes, and looking forward to better news.
