MYSTERY
ENVELOPE FROM SCIENTIST
"Incredible News!" says Geronimo Stilton
By Ratella Redfur
NEW MOUSE CITYGeronimo Stilton, editor of The Rodent's
Gazette, has just received a mysterious and totally unexpected
message from his friend, Professor Paws von Volt, the brilliant
scientist. In an envelope postmarked from Crocodilia on the
Amazon River in Brazil, the professor sent roundtrip airline
tickets for Geronimo, his sister Thea, his cousin Trap, and
his young nephew Benjamin. It seems the professor wants the
Stiltons to join him in Crocodilia at once. The totally unexplained
mystery is: Why?
Readers of Mr. Stilton's books already know Professor von
Volt. In The Phantom of the Subway, Geronimo revealed
many of the secrets of the professor's hidden underground
laboratory and the amazing inventions being developed there.
So, you can bet your whiskers that whatever the professor
is up to in the Amazon, it must be of enormouse scientific
importance.
But since the professor hasn't explained why he's sending
for them, the four members of the Stilton family are leaving
for Crocodilia with absolutely no idea what they will find
there. Are they about to make the discovery of a lifetime,
or get lost in the rain forest, never to return? These brave
mice are used to putting their tails on the line, and they
aren't afraid to take their chances. After all, a Rodent's
Gazette reporter will go anywhere for a scoop. And every
newsmouse knows that when Professor Paws von Volt is in the
story, it has to be a big one.
We at The Rodent's Gazette wish the Stiltons bon voyage
and good luck. We advise them to keep a sharp lookout for
poisonous snakes, piranhas, carnivorous ants, warlike jungle
tribes, anddon't forgetthere's probably a good
reason why the place is called Crocodilia!
