Sydney Starfur: New Mouse City's Latest Supermouse!

By Erronea Misprint

NEW MOUSE CITY Sydney Starfur has played many roles in his career. Hes been the heroic underrat and the bumbling stumblemouse. The loyal buddy and the evil gangsterrat. In short, this is one well-rounded rodent.

But it wasnt until recently that Starfur discovered his real talent: impersonations.

It all started one night when I was playing charades with some friends," explained Starfur. I imitated a few big stars like Adam Ratler and Ashton Mouser, and my friends were all squeaking like crazy!"

Three months later, his one-mouse show hit Catnegie Hall. Starfur does impersonations of everyone from teen sensations like Ratvil Lavigne to politicians like Ratty Giuliani. And for all you Rodents Gazette fans, you wont want to miss his uncanny impression of our very own editor, Geronimo Stilton!

When we caught up with Starfur, we had to ask: how does it feel to be a VIR (Very Important Rodent)?

Well, of course I never expected any of this," Starfur told the Gazette. But I dont want to start taking it for granted. Im thinking about ways to take my impersonations to the next level. Someone from The Daily Rat recently asked me to pretend to be a friend of hers as a joke you know, to try to fool the poor rodents friends and family and I think that could be a phenomenal challenge!

So," concluded Starfur, Ill have to see where it all takes me." His many fans are ready to follow him wherever that may be. Sydney, keep us posted!

Mouse Swims Past Tomcat Island - And Lives to tell the Tale!
By Mouseanna Mousetti

FROZEN FUR PEAK, MOUSE ISLAND Today a mouse did the unthinkable. She swam the Rodent Straits and became the first rat in 200 years to go within squeaking distance of Tomcat Island.

As every mouse knows, all cats were expelled from Mouse Island in 1776. Since then, not a single feline has set paw on the Island. But many mice know the truth: that the cats only fled as far as Tomcat Island, less than thirty miles from our beloved home. All that divides the two nations is the Rodent Straits.

What gave this brave some might even say reckless young rodent such a crazy idea? Well, I grew up right across from Tomcat Island," says Swimrat. And ever since I was a little water rat learning to do the mouse paddle, Ive been dreaming of swimming the Straits. Those cats need to know that were not a bunch of fraidy mice. They may get nine lives, but I only get one. And Im not about to spend it quaking in fear!"

Whats Swimrats secret? Okay, Ill tell you," says Swimrat. Its as simple as this: Cats hate water even more than they hate mice! So I knew that as long as I didnt go scampering onshore the island, Id be okay."

Today, Ms. Swimrat is more than okay. Shes an inspiration to mice everywhere. No longer will we have to live in fear. No longer will we have to stock catnip and balls of yarn when we vacation along the coast. Today, Ms. Swimrat is a hero to all of Mouse Island. Hers is not a name well forget anytime soon.
