From
the Desk of
Geronimo Stilton
Hello Mouse Friends,
Thundering cattails, the last month has been hotter than
a pot of cheese fondue! I was dying to get away for a few
days' vacation. But it wasn't easy... every time I tried,
disaster struck!
First the printing press at The Rodent's Gazette broke
down, and I missed my boat to Happy Tail Island. Then the
newspaper warehouse was flooded with water, and I missed my
flight to Coldcreek Peak. And then my aunt Sweetfur's
apartment caught on fire, and I missed my helicopter to the
volcano Gong-gong-bang-a-gong-dong!
I was finally able to tear myself away and set out for some
rest and relaxation. But of all the rotten rats' luck -- the
good vacations were booked up. I found myself stuck in a flea-ridden
old hotel, sharing a room with a bunch of Gerbil Scouts...including
my assistant editor, Pinky Pink!
Now, Pinky is a brilliant mouse, but she loves to get under
my fur. This time she had a lot of tricks up her sleeve --
and everyone knows you can't teach an old mouse like me new
tricks. She insisted that I join her and the other scouts
for games like Catch That Shadow, and the Burning-Hot Cheese
Ball, and You Make Me Stick and
well, the list goes
on and on.
You'll soon get to read about my vacation and all of Pinky's
favorite games in my latest book, A Fabumouse Vacation
for Geronimo! I hate to admit it, but I really did end
up having a fabumouse time on my trip.
Cheers and squeaks,
