Color Your Kid's Vocabulary

Combine two memory tricks to help your kid with an upcoming vocabulary test. Instruct her to spell out the words and write the definitions clearly a few times on a sheet of paper. For an added memory boost, pass out four highlighters of various colors, and show her how to color code according to the part of speech.
