It is our ongoing mission to leverage our impact as the most trusted name in learning. Scholastic’s unparalleled reach into schools and among children and families, uniquely positions us as diversity leaders and practitioners.

Our goal is to reflect the children of the world on the pages of our books and through the support materials we provide for educators and parents. To meet this goal, the kids, teachers, and families we reach must be reflected in those of us who create the materials that serve them.

When you benefit, we benefit

Without the people who work here, Scholastic wouldn’t be… well, Scholastic. Our desire to attract and nurture the best and brightest has us doing all we can to offer the best healthcare, short- and long-term disability and life insurance plans. We also offer a state-of-the-art work/life assistance program, and tuition reimbursement for those continuing their education. To help employees build for the future, we offer a 401(k) savings plan and an option to purchase Scholastic stock at a discount.  We want our staff to love Scholastic as much as kids, parents and teachers do.

It's all about community

Active participation in our community is a fundamental part of Scholastic’s mission. Because of this, Scholastic has given each employee eight hours of civic volunteer time to serve the community, area, or city of their choosing based on their interests. This is time that we can dedicate to serving communities, some may decide to participate as a poll worker during the elections, volunteer with the local Habitat for Humanity , or attend a local rally. By supporting and encouraging employees to offer their time and talent to respond to local needs, Scholastic provides an opportunity for employees to use their skills and interests to have a positive impact on the communities around them.
