The Shape of Things

Shape up your child's perception by breaking images down to their tiniest forms.

What you need:

  • construction paper in a variety of color
  • magnetic board
  • magnetic paper
  • scissors
  • glue sticks
  • reclosable plastic bag

What to do:

  1. Cut out a variety of colorful paper shapes in different sizes.
  2. Glue shapes to magnet paper, then cut out to create a magnetic shape.
  3. Invite your child to organize the shapes into recognizable images like a house, person, or animal.
  4. Store shape magnets in a resealable bag.
