February 1st is World Read Aloud Day! This annual advocacy day is presented by global literacy nonprofit LitWorld and sponsored by Scholastic, and unites people around the world by highlighting the importance of reading aloud and sharing stories.
Reading aloud is a special bonding experience for your whole family. More than 80 percent of both kids and parents love or like read-aloud time a lot, and even more say it's special time with each other, according to the 7th edition of the Scholastic Kids & Family Reading Report.
