You can’t prevent your children from feeling stressed about schoolwork or social situations, but you can help them learn how to handle the stress and feel better. If they seem upset or anxious, ask in a gentle manner what is bothering them. Listen carefully, without judging. Brainstorm ideas together to ease the stress—but just by listening closely and allowing their feelings to flow, you’ll be helping more than you know.
