Use a Venn Diagram to Discuss Similarities and Differences

Being able to organize thoughts is an important part of language arts. Show your child how to use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast two different topics in preparation for writing an essay or giving an oral presentation. As an extension activity, have your child use the Venn Diagram as the basis for an outline or written assignment. Practicing her skills in this manner will prepare her to think more analytically about the topic.
