Use a Calendar to Teach Time Management

When your child receives a project or book report that's not due for a few weeks, show him how to use a calendar to manage his time. Print a calendar and circle the assignment’s due date. Then, create a series of short-term goals, like "Write the first draft," and add them to the calendar. When he finishes on time, celebrate his efforts.
