Teaching Children About Healthy Eating

When children reach first and second grade, they begin to spend more time away from home—which means you’ll have less control over their food choices. If you teach them healthy eating habits at home, they’re much more likely to make good choices when they’re out. Engage your children in the process by asking them to help prepare meals, explaining what types of foods give them energy.
