Speak Like a Grown Up

While it’s been shown that parents naturally fall into a higher-pitched voice when talking to their infants, try to return to your “normal” speaking voice as your toddler begins actually talking. By responding to your new-talker’s “want milk!” with “Shall we pour a cup for you?” you will demonstrate the kind of language use she should be striving for.
