Scarf Play

Babies love the feel and look of soft, light fabric like silk or other types of scarves, and they enjoy the colors and patterns. To set up some gentle, sensory play, gather a handful of scarves. Sit on the floor with your baby and throw a scarf into the air and catch it as it floats down. Have your baby try the same. Play with a variety of lightweight scarves of different colors and patterns. Alternate between putting one scarf over your head and one over your baby's, and gently pulling them off. You can also get up and dance with the scarves to your favorite music.
