Practice Tough Math Skills at Home

Helping your child study is an opportunity to let him show off his new skills. Take advantage of the time spent driving in the car or waiting on line by quizzing him -- and yourself -- on math problems. For example, take turns asking basic math questions and when it's your turn to answer, get one or two answers wrong on purpose to see if your child notices. This way, he's practicing even when he's quizzing you!
