Plant a Seed

Planting is a great way to not only show your child how things grow, but also to generate enthusiasm for the natural world. Connect what you grow to the food you’re eating. When you serve orange slices for a snack, reserve the pitted seeds for planting. Help your toddler spoon some dirt into a small cup, plant the orange seeds, and watch what grows.
