Moment Journaling

Giving your child the outlet to creatively express himself or herself through writing is a key component of communicative learning. Prompt your kid to write weekly using inspiration from a fun experience that week. Examples of prompts might be "the proudest moment at school this week," "something you learned from your friends," "a moment you were extremely happy/sad this week," or "something you could have done better this week." All of these will push your child to think critically about a moment, and express himself or herself through writing.
