Make Your Goals Small
Writing a to-do list is easy. Completing it is another story. Keep your tasks and goals small, breaking each bigger task into smaller steps (instead of “clean bedroom,” go for “organize sock drawer”). Another tip: Create a list of weekly goals so you don’t feel pressure to complete a bunch of stuff every day. After you finish a task on your list, read the now-checked-off item to your child. You’ll be building her language skills.
