Make a Paper-Bag Rattle

Take a plain brown paper bag (decorate if you and/or your baby likes), and fill it with dried beans, uncooked rice, beads -- anything that makes an intriguing noise. Carefully glue or tape shut, or twist the tops of the bag and tie closed with a short piece of yarn or ribbon. Shake your paper-bag rattles and see how the sounds differ.
