Make 3D Sculptures Out of Recycled Materials

Have your child raid the recycling bin and come up with enough items to make a three-dimensional piece of art. If necessary, assist him with cutting pieces of duct tape or packing tape to secure the pieces together. When he's done, take pictures of his creation and ask him to explain what he enjoyed about making it and what he found to be most challenging. As an extension activity, research famous artists whose creations feature recycled items.
