Go to an Art Museum

Take your child on a field trip to your local art museum. Call ahead, or visit the museum's website, to learn about current exhibits and whether they offer additional educational materials or programs for young visitors. On the day of the trip, let your child use the museum's map to create a schedule of the areas he'd most like to see. Encourage your child to ask questions about different types of artwork and, after you get home, try recreating some of his favorites together.
