Go on a Shape-Hunting Walk

Help your child gain a better understanding of geometric shapes by going on a shape-hunting walk outside today. Before you set out, make a chart with as many different shapes as your child can think of. Be sure to include crescents, diamonds, triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids. Then, while you're on the walk, see how many of these shapes you and your child can find. Enjoy the outdoors and marvel at the different shapes that can be found in nature!
