Genuine Questions

Asking your child questions is a time-honored means of getting him to talk, to open up, and to use language. Ask open-ended questions you may not know the answers to, such as “What's your favorite ice cream flavor?” You may have to make a few tries, and you may need to make this a daily habit (such as in the car or at mealtimes).
