Fun With Shadows

When summer showers force children indoors, spend the time using flashlights to make shadows. Use your hands, cups, and other household items to create different shadow shapes on the walls. Discuss how the shadows differ in shapes and sizes. Ask children to write a story based on the adventures of the shadows they created.
