Drawing Sounds

This is fun if your child enjoys both drawing and animals. Get out some paper and crayons or colored pencils, and tell your child you’re going to listen to animal sounds. Make the animal sound, then ask your child to guess what makes that noise. Then, have him draw the animal. Start with some “easy” animal sounds, such as cow, cat, dog, bird, or chicken. You can prepare for this activity by looking at photos or drawings of animals and practicing the sounds beforehand.
