Compare the Power of Magnets

Give your child a set of magnets and small items of various sizes. Let her experiment with which magnets are strongest, and which items are magnetic. When she's done, ask her to explain what she's learned. As an extension activity, research electromagnets together to find out how they're used in manufacturing, or research the origins of the magnet and what objects found in nature are naturally magnetic.
