What you need:

  • Ocean Babies, by Kristen McCurry 
  • pictures of adult and baby animals 
  • glue 
  • oak tag 
  • paper 
  • clear contact paper 

What to do:

  1. Read an animal book, such as Ocean Babies by Kristen McCurry.
  2. Cut out colorful pictures of baby animals and their parental counterparts.
  3. Glue the pictures onto squares of oak tag paper.
  4. Cover each card with clear contact paper.
  5. Invite your child to match each baby animal to its parent.
