Many Waters

Many Waters

by Madeleine L'Engle

Sandy and Dennys interrupt their father's experiment and find themselves in the middle of a desert. They discover that they must not only find the way home, but must also reunite a man and his son—a boy named Noah.

It's all right, he said; "it's perfectly safe, as far as the verdict goes; but — " he stopped and frowned. It was evident that the plan did not please him. But for the once Amy did not consult his pleasure. She had her own views; and she did actually invite a party of old friends to dine with them on the evening when it was expected that the verdict would be given.

"Sandy and Dennys, twins and middle children in the Newbery-winning A Wrinkle in Time, are transported to the time just before the Flood.…This will be enjoyed for its suspense and humor as well as its other levels of meaning." —Pointer, Kirkus Reviews

"L'Engle blends speculative fiction with biblical theology to create another provocative spellbinding tale." — Philadelphia Inquirer
