April Fool!
by Karen Gray Ruelle Illustrated by Karen Gray Ruelle
Emily's big brother Henry loves April Fool's Day, and he always comes up with great plans to trick his family. This year, Emily wants to help him think of some new surprises. But at the end of the day, after everyone in the family has played their tricks, Henry notices that he hasn't seen any pranks from Emily. Is she too little to play a good trick? When Henry tells her he's surprised she hasn't tried to trick him, Emily says, "Did you say you are surprised? April Fool!... I surprised you by not playing a trick on you."
