People Magazine Features Scholastic’s United States of Readers® Literacy Program

People Magazine recently featured the news that Pennsylvania lawmakers and Scholastic representatives gathered to celebrate the expansion of the United States of Readers program. The occasion featured remarks from Emmy® Award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary).

The first-of-its-kind literacy program is designed to bridge the gap of literacy and book inequity and will provide free, grade-appropriate books to nearly 3,500 high Title I students across five Pennsylvania school districts. Read more about the program here
