Fans can explore more Dandy’s World with a graphic novel and more!
New York, NY – April 2026 – Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education, and media company, announced it will be publishing various Dandy’s World books from creator and author, Qwel, in partnership with BlushCrunch Studio, the team behind the IP.
Dandy’s World is a globally popular mascot horror IP originating from the hit survival game on Roblox. Players explore the abandoned Gardenview Center as “Toons”, completing tasks and collecting items while evading hostile characters known as “Twisteds.” With deep, unfolding lore, a growing cast of relatable characters, and endlessly replayable gameplay, Dandy’s World has built one of the most passionate fandoms in gaming.
Since the game’s alpha release in June 2024, Dandy’s World has garnered a dedicated player base and fandom, with over 6 billion visits from over 90 million unique players. Toys, apparel, and other products are currently being sold at retailers like Five Below, Hot Topic, and Gamestop with broad mass retail and international distribution rolling out in fall 2026.
“I grew up going to the Scholastic Book Fair, so getting to create Dandy’s World books with them is so surreal,” says Qwel, the creator of Dandy’s World. “There are SO many stories to tell in the Dandy’s World universe, and we’ve only just scratched the surface. I’ve been working with Scholastic and some super talented writers to create fun stories that I hope many fans will enjoy.”
Scholastic will partner with BlushCrunch Studio to publish a guidebook and a novel in spring 2027, followed by a graphic novel in fall 2027, both co-written by Qwel. Each of the books are geared for ages 8 and up. Scholastic has world rights in all languages for graphic novels, middle grade novels, guidebooks/handbooks, coloring/activity books (inc. sticker books), journals, and novelty books. This includes print, eBook, and audio editions.
