International bestselling author Jeff Kinney celebrated the release of his 20th Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Partypooper, with an interactive session on Scholastic’s Storyvoice.
Kinney joined Storyvoice host Michael Clarke, Senior Director, New Media Initiatives and Storyvoice, for a fun-filled storytime attended by over 42k students from around the country. Kinney read from his new book, answered class questions, led students in a drawing exercise and shared an exclusive first look at the new film Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw.
During the event, Kinney shared advice for those who might want to follow in his footsteps: “If anybody wants to be a cartoonist or a writer, the best thing you can do is read as much as you can because you can’t be a good writer without being a good reader.”
