The Shorty Awards is an international program that honors the most outstanding work shaping culture and creativity across digital and social media. “Shorty” stands for short-form content. The Audience Honor is a special distinction awarded to the finalist that receives the highest number of public votes—meaning this win came directly from the voices of our fans. This recognition highlights the impact of our content in the education space.

On the morning of the total solar eclipse eclipse, Good Morning America announced a Scholastic donation of $10,000 and select catalog products to STEM Kids NYC, an education nonprofit that offers pre-K to 12 programs. Additionally, ahead of the event, Scholastic Magazines+ provided free resources for students, educators and families to get ready for the solar eclipse. Media outlets including Country Living, the National Science Teaching Association and the National Informal STEM Education Network, shared these resources with their audiences.
