Lord Karsh Antayus Dies
United in grief, the Coventry Island community came together yesterday to pay tribute to the most beloved Exalted Elder the island has ever seen. Lord Karsh Antayus died in the woods surrounding Salem, Massachusetts, under circumstances that are hazy at best, and still being investigated.

Karsh Antayus grew up on Coventry Island, and quickly established himself among the most gifted warlocks the community has ever seen. He dedicated his life to teaching, educating scores of grateful fledglings in the ways of the craft.

His lordship was put to rest in a traditional ceremony in the Unity Dome. The honor of speaking at his memorial was bestowed upon former students, members of the Unity Council, and several of Lord Karsh's contemporaries, including Lady Rhianna, Lord Grivvenness and Lady Fan. Perhaps the most moving eulogies, however, were delivered by a set of twins, native to our island, but reared completely on the mainland. The long-missing daughters of Aron and Miranda DuBaer returned for the first time since their birth, to honor Lord Karsh.

Artemis, who now answers to the name Alexandra, received understanding nods from those gathered when she said, "I feel his presence. I hear and see him fifty times a day . . . I ask his advice and, guess what? I receive it -" She was followed to the podium by Apolla, or Camryn as she is known, told of a life filled with material wealth, but devoid of understanding who she truly was, and why she had certain gifts. Lord Karsh, she told his mourners, had helped and guided her. "He saved my life," she said, then broke down in tears, "And I am so sorry, because I couldn't save him."

Lord Karsh was laid to rest in the cemetery where the most humble of Coventry's residents lie-among his own ancestors, which is how he would have wanted it. Surely, he will live in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will live on.
