- pieces of cardboard, around 6"X 6" (one per student)
Set Up and PrepareIt's important to remind students that these are not edible pretzels.
Explain that you will be making Play-Doh pretzels, and remind students that these will NOT be pretzels to eat. Give students a ball of Play-Doh and have them roll it out between their hands.
After they have formed a long strand of Play-Doh, they can create their first initial on their piece of cardboard. When everyone is done, have students take turns to share their letters and the sounds that their letters make.
Have students make their initials out of real pretzel dough.
