The Arthur and Friends Finger Puppets can be used in a variety of ways. To make the puppets, print out the PDF below and cut out the shapes along the dotted lines. Let children color them in, then wrap the puppets around the end of their fingers and ask a classmate to tape them in place.
Invite children to use the puppets to act out Arthur stories in front of the class; retell an Arthur story, letting classmates try to guess which story they are depicting; or create their own original Arthur Adventures. Also let children use the finger puppets for their own creative play.
Arthur and Friends Art Projects
Encourage children to let their imagination go as they use the finger puppets to make jewelry, stickers, bookmarks, and greeting cards, or for other projects. For jewelry, glue a finger puppet to cardboard (snip off the band), color and glue to a jewelry pin back (available at craft stores). To make a necklace, punch a hole in the head of a puppet and thread a long piece of yarn through it. For stickers, glue to notebooks and lunchboxes. Use the same technique to make tagboard bookmarks, cards, and gift tags.
