He's so angry at his brother for going off without him that he doesn't even want to follow. Kai made his own bad decision: let him live with it. But Gabi's hurt at Kai's coldness turns to serious concern, especially after they learn that there is a blizzard on the way. This is the boy who saved her from the dark. She can't lose him to it.

So Gabi convinces Hunter to join her on a wild road trip north, a trip that will challenge them physically and emotionally, as they try to convince the boy they love to return home.
