In this captivating animal story, a new kid in town learns about loyalty, community, and fighting for what's important.
Joshua and his dad move around a lot — and being the son of an Air Force recruiter during the unpopular Vietnam War doesn't make fitting in easy for Joshua. But this time, Joshua has Jack, a rare Pharaoh hound he just adopted from the local pound. Jack might look strange and act unruly, but he's a loyal and affectionate companion. Unfortunately, some people in town are afraid of Jack, including the bully Alan Prater. What's worse, Jack is getting blamed for some late-night disturbances, from knocking over a chicken coop to killing a cat. Joshua is sure these attacks are the work of a coyote, but no one believes him. Now, it's up to Joshua to prove his beloved dog's innocence!
