When Randall moves to a new school, he feels lonely and left out. The movie "The Scarlet Pimpernel" on TV gives him an idea about how to feel important. He decides to do nice things for his classmates and leave notes to tell them about it. Instead of signing his name to the notes, he leaves a stamp with a red flower on them.
A wonderful sense of pacing underlies this readable story, with action steadily building to a climax.-Booklist.
