4 Scholastic Titles Nominated for NAACP Image Awards—Find Out Which Ones

Grades PreK–K, 1–2, 3–5, 6–8

    This week, the NAACP Image Awards nominations were announced, and we’re proud to share that four Scholastic titles were included in the list of nominees. The annual awards ceremony is hosted by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to honor outstanding people of color in film, television, music, and literature.  

    Check out our nominated titles below:

    Outstanding Literary Work ­– Children

    I Can Be Anything! Don’t Tell Me I Can’t by Diane Dillon

    The Word Collector by Peter H. Reynolds

    Outstanding Literary Work ­– Youth/Teens

    Chasing King’s Killer: The Hunt for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Assassin by James L. Swanson

    The Journey of Little Charlie by Christopher Paul Curtis

    The winners will be announced at the 50th NAACP Image Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theater, Hollywood on Saturday, March 30. Good luck to all of our nominees!
