With Gratitude

By Megan Power
Grades PreK–K, 1–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12

On Thanksgiving, we take a day out of our busy lives to spend time with family and reflect on all that we have. Read on for a few things that I am thankful for this Thanksgiving. I am thankful for my loving and supportive family that is always by my side (in body or in spirit) encouraging all of my ideas and goals. I am thankful for the two bright, smiling faces of my sons that inspire me to be the best I can be. I am thankful for an amazing husband and father to our children that stands by me and loves me. I am thankful for good friends close and far away that can always make me smile. I am thankful for my 2nd Thanksgiving in my new house in a community that I am excited to raise my children in. I am thankful for a wonderful job in a supportive district where I can truly shut my classroom door and open up my students’ worlds with the use of technology. I am thankful for Scholastic.com for giving teachers the tools to share and extend what is happening in our classrooms. Enjoy your families, and have a happy Thanksgiving! With gratitude, Megan
