Raised in Brooklyn, Teri Daniels earned her college degree from New York University, majoring in liberal arts and nursing. For three years she practiced on staff as a medical/surgical primary care nurse, and in the home as a visiting nurse.
While raising young children, she nurtured her creative side by attending the Interior Design and Art Appraisal Certificate programs at C.W. Post College. For six years, she worked in the capacity of silk floral designer and freelance art consultant for residential and commercial clients.
In 1992, she embarked on a self-study course in writing that led to the publication of children's books, essays and articles, and the creation of educational workshops and lectures for children and adults.
Teri Daniels is a member of Author's Guild, and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). She lives with her husband and two sons in Merrick, New York.
