Victoria Scott is the critically-acclaimed author of eight novels for young adults including Fire & Flood, Salt & Stone, Titans, and Hear the Wolves. Her books have been bought and translated in eleven foreign markets, and Titans received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Bulletin. In high school, she was a cheerleader that competed in public speaking, and was voted class clown by her classmates. In short, no one has ever accused her of being shy. Victoria resides in Philadelphia, and loves chatting with her readers. Visit her online at VictoriaScott.com.

Description of the Author’s Presentation

Dream a Little Dream

Grades 6–12
30-45 minutes

Victoria Scott will speak to students about how she went from a teenager who rarely thought beyond friends and having fun, to an author with a master’s degree and five published novels. She’ll stress the importance of setting goals in life, and taking small steps to achieve those goals each week. Victoria will share the power of failure, and how accumulating rejections is the key to success. Students can ask questions at the end, and receive signed posters for sharing their own goals aloud.
