Description of the Author’s Presentation

3 Presentations per Day Maximum

Suggested Audience: Grades 4 – 9

During her presentations she discusses the writing process: the magic that turns readers into believers, spins ideas into stories, casts people into characters, and transforms research into fiction and nonfiction. She speaks to large and small groups.

Suggested Teaching Topics: Holocaust, Historical Fiction, WWII, Immigration

Susan frequently speaks to adult groups of educators at state and national conferences and festivals and enjoys giving keynote addresses as well as breakout sessions and panel discussion groups. Request a visit.

 

Virtual Visits:

Susan is happy to drop in for a virtual visit and Q&A with book groups and library groups that have read at least one of her books using Skype or iChat. Request a visit.

 

AV Tech Needs:

Susan will require a slide projector and if speaking to a large group, a microphone. She brings her own laptop computer.


Honorarium:

$2,000 per day plus expenses including hotel accommodations when overnight travel is required.
