Natalie Standiford is an author of teen and middle grade novels, chapter books, and easy readers. Her middle grade novel The Secret Tree was named a Notable Children's Book of 2012 by The New York Times and was a Junior Library Guild Selection. Her young adult novel How to Say Goodbye in Robot was called "an outstanding choice for a book discussion group" in a starred review by School Library Journal and was a Fall 2009 Junior Library Guild Selection. Her other books include The Boy on the Bridge, Confessions of the Sullivan Sisters, and The Bravest Dog Ever: The True Story of Balto, Switched at Birthday and a title in The 39 Clues series. She plays bass in the rock band Tiger Beat, featuring fellow YA authors Libba Bray, Daniel Ehrenhaft, and Barnabas Miller. She grew up in Baltimore and now lives in New York City.
