Description of the Author’s Presentation

Workshop: “Enchanted Journeys” (Writing Process)

Suggested Audience Grades 4 – 8

Join Kimberley on a trip across time to explore the magic of unique settings and history as well as learning the process of becoming a professional writer. Using a PowerPoint show and favorite books (including some unique Show n' Tell!), Kimberley brings the writing process to life: how to hook your reader, create a story, and do research and revision. Request a visit.

Workshop: “The Creative Diary” (Writing Workshop)

Suggested Audience Grades 3 – 8

Students will discover the joy of their Imagination and the writing process. During this workshop, they will produce two short stories. Dig into the Imagination Box, go on a wild journey through your own mind and then write, write, write! Fun and provocative exercises that will get the writing juices flowing. Even reluctant writers will love this fresh approach! Groups of up to 200 can be accommodated. A library works well, of course, but the gym or cafeteria can also be used.
