Description of the Author’s Presentation

How To Become an Author
Or, How I Became an Author, Because Becoming a Writer is Like Becoming a Person—Everybody Does It Differently

Grades 6-12
30 minutes, plus Q&A

Presented in a format of what the audience might do to become an author, but detailing the author’s own experiences, this PowerPoint presentation covers primarily inspiration and the writing/publishing process, but can be tailored to include a talk and/or workshop on revision. Katherine is prepared for lively post-presentation discussions and asks that students come armed with questions and be prepared to answer some, too.
