Description of the Author’s Presentation

Suggested Audience: Grades K-6, Adults

Alan’s sessions vary based on the goals/interests of the school, but in general he puts a strong emphasis on his lifetime dedication to reading and writing. During the course of each 45-60 minute session, he shares a multi-media presentation to discuss his love of words, review development and execution of creative ideas, stress the importance of writing every day, revising your work, and so on.

He shares his work—ranging from silly songs and poetry to picture books, trivia sets and more. He tries to generate laughter, but more importantly, he tries to generate a feeling of "hey, I can do that!" among the students (and teachers too!).

Alan is happy to sign books and meet the students.
