Aija Mayrock is a nineteen-year-old author and activist. She was bullied from ages eight to fifteen and decided to create the book that she never had, but always needed. Aija wrote The Survival Guide to Bullying while she was in high school.
Aija speaks to kids in lower school, middle school, and high school. She performs rap poetry that she calls "roems" that talk about her bullying story, ways to advocate for yourself, and how to create a healthy, happy lifestyle.
Aija is still a teenager, so kids and teens relate to her and understand her message. Aija receives messages every day from kids around the world who share their bullying stories with her. She is also a past Gold and Silver Key winner from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Aija lives in New York City.
