Shane Evans is the illustrator of children's books including Osceola, The Way The Door Closes, Shaq and the Beanstalk, and Take It To The Hoop Magic Johnson. He was honored First Lady Laura Bush at the 2002 National Book Festival, and he won the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award and The Orbis Pictus Award for Outstanding Non-Fiction for Children.

An illustrator visit with Shane Evans is an invitation to dream. He incorporates live acoustic music and storytelling into a creative dialogue which engages all ages. Some of the topics discussed during his presentation are the origins of his drawing interest, the power of the imagination, the importance of reading and creativity, and how books are illustrated and
published.

Shane Evans enjoys mixed groups of adults and children and always gears presentations to the specific audience. It doesn't matter if you're five years old or 50, Shane’s presentation will inspire the imagination of your inner child. During a visit, he is also
available for autographing and conversation.

AV and Tech Needs for In-Person Visits

Shane requires a computer projector and connection for a Mac computer, and an amplifier with guitar and microphone plug-in capability.

Presentation requirements can be tailored to the specifications of the venue.

Honorarium

Shane’s honorarium is $2,500 to $3,000 per day which includes up to two speaking events and a book
signing.

This honorarium does not include travel or accomodations.
